E! 6735-ESPAL

ESPAL is an international Eureka project (www.eurekanetwork.org/project/-/id/6735)implemented in cooperation between Serbia, Slovenia and Italy. The Project implementers are the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade (TMF) and Eling Co., Loznica, Serbia. The Project Manager is prof. Srdjan Markovic, Ph.D. (TMF).

The main objective of the project is to investigate the effects of the application of electromagnetic field in direct chill casting of Al-alloy billets both in terms of improving their physical and mechanical properties and because of the possibility of shortening the process of homogenization annealing of billets prior to their further processing in order to achieve energy savings.
